CEO and Co-Founder

Ms. Edwards is currently CEO and co-founder of Black Female Founders (#BFF), an organization whose mission is to provide awareness, support, resources and a platform for Black women entrepreneurs, in 2017 she developed #BFF Labs, a 10-week pre-accelerator program for aspiring early-stage entrepreneurs. As CEO of #BFF, Ms. Edwards has spoken at on a number of panels on the topic of tech inclusion and entrepreneurship and has also served as a judge for numerous startup pitch competitions. She also works on the digital team for The United Food & Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) managing the digital properties for the organization.
 
In the past, Sibyl has served as Executive Director for DC Innovates (DCI), a non-profit organization with the mission of fostering and supporting a diverse tech innovation economy in the District of Columbia. DCI managed the Digital DC Technology Fund (DDCTF), a $1 million catalytic fund for early-stage technology ventures in the District where Sibyl managed the tech fund grantees .
 
As President of DC Web Women (DCWW), one of the largest and longest-running tech nonprofits for women in D.C., Sibyl volunteers her time helping to support and advocate for women and girls in internet and tech-related industries. During her tenure, she created the Code(Her) Conference, DC’s first conference geared to women in tech and Tech the Halls, DC’s premier holiday event for technologists.
